Ok, clue on who Becca looks like.  Some one in our family.  Long hair and wears sleeve headbands..........Ryan!  What do you think?

Nathan LOVED watching the VB game.  He loved all the balls being hit, after a while he started swinging his arm.  I have high hopes, he's going to play some VB.  With Ryan, Becca and I to train him.  

Nathan was happy to have his handy snack cup that doesn't let things fall on the floor.  He was extremely happy to see Rebecca at the game.  He was squealing with joy.

Grandpa and Nathan taking in the game.  It was nice to have Scott come to the game.  Rebecca really wanted us to be there.  This was Nathan's 1st time watching Rebecca play on her VB team.  By the way she played awesome!!!  Nice setting, hitting, and serving.

Halloween Is Coming!

Nathan loves this little book that holds our Halloween candy.  Everytime you open the box a funny witch lady says something to you.  Like "Would you like some Candy"?  You have to hear the voice to appreciate it.  Nathan would just laugh.  I took some videos on it.

Nathan was checking out some of our fall displays.  Not real fruit.  Grandma did not injure Nathan, his cheeks were really red on the one side after his nap.  He slept for 3 hours.  Was able to get some phone calling for Prop 8.  It was a good day.

More VB of Rebecca at the El Segundo Game

Rebecca getting a tiny bit of the block.  This week Rebecca has another game at South on Friday.  Also Saturday she has a Volleyball tournament at South.  I have to admit, I love going to the games.  The Varsity at west has some amazing players.  They won very easily today at El Segundo.  I may take photos at the Tournament on Saturday.  I would love to take better action photos.

You have to double click on this photo to see Becca smiling.  Think she was happy to be playing more today.  They lost the 1st game.  Won the second and Lost the third.  Basically they gave the third game away.  El Segundo really didn't win, we just made too many misses.

Well this picture Rebecca's eyes are open and now Grandma's are shut.  So hard getting good shots.  Sorry I didn't get any of Rebecca during play.  I was having too much fun watching.  She had some great serves and sets and saves.  Go Warriors!

Rebecca is playing Outside Hitter/Setter, luckily she is playing mostly.  She has a new young team at West.  Some of the girls have never played before.  They are doing great.  They played North High.  They did pretty well against them.  The first game they were in the lead and then lost the momentum.  The second game they only lost by 2 points.  Wish we could have played them 3 out of 5.  Only the Varsity play that many games.

Grandma and Grandpa Hansen came and watched Rebecca's games.  They were very proud of her.  Oops, eyes closed.

Rebecca was one of the ball girls during the Varsity game.  By the way, the West High girls varsity team won in 4 games against North.  I guess North High is in another league, so it was mainly for practice.

Fun Times with Nathan

This boy loves to play ball.  He had fun going for a ride in his new wagon I got for $3.00.  

Amber brought home a new book for Nathan which was really cute.  He loved the one page called "Peek a Boo"  with a little ghost on the flip page.  The last page was "Peek a You" with the flip page a mirror.  

You can see the joy on Nathan and Amber's face as they read a new favorite book together.  Nathan is such a little cutie.  We loved having him over this week.

Go Speed Racer Shelly

Can you see me doing 160MPH in this?.....I don't think so.  My brother-in-law built this in his garage and plans to test it out in April.  I could barely fit in it.  It was very hard to get out of as well.  I would not want to be in this if it caught on fire.  Joe said you would have 2o seconds to get out....I would not make it.

Sunday Afternoon.....Special visits! Sept. 14, 2008

We invited Nathan over....Rebecca missed Nathan, so she made Lemon Squares to have Amber come over.  It worked!  Nathan loves sitting on this little step.  He backs into and sits there with his water cup and cracker.

Ashley and Byron came to visit our ward today, I missed seeing Lila because I went straight into Primary.  We went by so I could meet Lila in person.  She is so cute, lots of light hair. She looks like Ashley and Bryon and has really long fingers.  "Piano player" for sure, I bet.  Fun to hold a little one.  I loved that she was wearing a little dress still on Sunday even at 5:30 pm.  She is a doll!

St. George Get away!

Scott and I on our way back home stopped at my parents home for a over night stay.  We had fun alone together!  We went to the visitors center and watched a lds movie I had never seen.  It is called "A Pioneer Miracle"  see it when you can.  It is a story of Obedience.  It is only 13 minutes long.  A true story that is worth seeing.  I plan on buying the movie.  It is really good.  

I know this may seem weird to some, but I wanted to visit my Grandparents graveside.  I have been wanting to do it for a while now and was glad we had the time to do it.  This is my dad's mom and dad.  Clara and Fred Sr. Hansen.  I was so surprised  I was able to find it.  I started just walking around where I thought it might be.  I finally came across a lot of Hansen gravestones.  I was happy I found it and wanted to take a picture of it.  It is located just across the street from Dixie College and under a little tree.  I loved those Grandparents very much and they still mean so much to me.  I think of them often.  

1st day of seminary for these friends, Becca, Tiffany, Aubree and Allegra.  They did very well this 1st week.  I'm very proud of them.  The challenge begins.......4 years 100%!!  You can do it.

Rebecca had her 1st scrimage at Torrance High against Torrance and Chadwick.  It was fun because she got to play against Allegra who is going to Chadwick this year.  She is the one hitting the ball.  It is very dark.

Utah, Idaho Bound! Off to college!

Kelly and I went on Saturday morning before Rachel and Scott were up to visit the Winter Home of Brigham Young.  It was fun to be there and go thru with some other visitors.

We went and watched Ryan play in a two man Volleyball tourn. at UVU.  It was soooo cold.  Really strange weather, cause the day before it was HOT.  This was on Labor day.  The rain and hail made it not to good for VB.  They started it up again when the sun came out in the afternoon.

Rexburg, Idaho Temple.  It is so pretty.

Rachel in her new apt./dorm on campus at BYU-I.  Here is her new roommate, Brittany.  She is a nice girl and I'm sure they will do well together.  There are two other girls in the dorm.  Rachel has a nice living room and kitchen.

I spent time shopping at Walmart getting all the last minute things we didn't bring up.
