Thankful to have Sandi and Matt close by us in California!

It was great to have Sandi and Matt over for a little while before they went to Pasadena to be with Matt's family. His family are all going on a mexican cruise tommorow. Sandi and Matt are excited to go on a little getaway! They were able to take a family picture with us for our Christmas card. I think we got one. With 11 people now in the family it is no easy task.Posted by Picasa

PARIS EIFFEL TOWER SPARKLING -August 2007

Here we are on the Eiffel tower when it is lit up. They make it sparkle every hour at night for about 10 min. It was about midnight here or close to it. That was quite a climb for me to get to the second platform on the tower. I barely made it. We had lots of fun taking these pictures, lots of laughs.

Special park and lake we found in Paris!

What a fun day at this park we had. Ryan really wanted to go off to a park while we were in Paris. We found a park on the map, hopped on the subway and off we went to explore this park with lake. What a great time we had here. Very relaxing day time here!

Relaxing out on the lake in Paris

Ryan our happy rower. Thanks for the tour of the lake.
We had heavenly weather and surroundings. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Paris. We needed a break from all the walking and touring of museums.

PARIS- Bois de Vincennes Park August 2007

This was a great day out on a row boat on this little lake at park bois de vicennes in Paris. We had such a relaxing day out here. Ryan pretty much rowed us around this whole lake for about an hour. We fed some ducks and just enjoyed this beautiful day and just enjoyed resting on the boat. The clouds were so pretty.

Vatican City-August 2007

We actually came here on two days, so we had more time to explore and see the Vatican Museums and St. Peter's Basilica, and see the Sistine Chapel. I loved this more than I thought. Loved the amazing art we saw here. I bought a book detailing what we saw and could not take pictures of so if you ever want to see that before you go to Italy.
One of the most impressive works we saw! Michelangelo was only twenty-five years old when he did this piece of art, for the jubilee of 1500AD. It is the only work signed by the artist (his name is carved on the sash of the Madonna).

This was taken inside the vatican museum looking out.

Italy a very beautiful country! August 25, 2007

On our way to Rome by train...nice view!

Here is one of the pictures I took while we were traveling to Rome by train. There were places like this along the way, sitting atop the hillsides.

Rome is HOT! August 25, 2007

Here we are at the end of touring the colosseum, you can't tell how hot it is here. We loved looking all over on the different levels at the collosseum. Lots of cool old statues and art done at the time. Time for some Gelato!!! Rome was very impressive, loved thinking about all the things that went on there many years ago.

ROMA! August 25th, 2007

We traveled to Rome by train from Florence, here is one of the signs at the train station as we were getting close.
It was really hot when we arrived in Rome, thankfully for only one day, we are standing here outside the coliseum.
Looking at this picuture you have no idea how HOT it is here. We felt like we were going to melt.

Aug. 23, 2007 Loved Florence!

Center of Florence by the Duomo.
We arrived and went and checked out the suroundings.
This hotel was in the center of the city and was so nice, I really lucked out and picked a good one. Mainly because it was in the middle of everything going on in Florence.
Pretty store front of a bakery in Florence.
Kelly in the famous picture taking spot near the bridge where they sell all the jewerly. Check out the reflections there, end of the day sunset time. So pretty there. Kelly got a really pretty ring on that bridge.
Golden sunset time. Ryan took this nice picture of Scott and I. Thanks Ryan, one of our little treasures from the trip. Gotta frame this one. It looks so peaceful there.

Super Grandson!

It's Super Nathan flying high.
Big Nathan 4 months old, almost 18 lbs. sitting up fairly well. He looks like he is a bit tired of sitting up and starting to move forward.

How sweet it is.....Nathan 4 months old with mom!

Martin family back to visit the San Pedro Ward.

Here is Amber and Nathan out in front of my parents home. He is really a sweetheart! He was so cute at church today and wore this cute little sweater vest. He is adorable....what can I say.

Visit to San Pedro Ward

Wonderful day...we visited Mom and Dad Hansen in San Pedro. Amber and Kevin were visiting to see some friends in that ward who were blessing their twins, a boy and girl. It was really sweet and very sweet to be all together, except Ryan who went to the singles ward. After Sacrament meeting had a pizza lunch with ice cream treats. Thanks mom for having us all over. Kris, Joe, Blaize and Ryker were there too. Rebecca, Blaize and Ryker had fun riding dad's segway.
